Local HistoryNathaniel J. Daniels became the first postmaster of Marion post office in West Bloomfield Township on March 8, 1833. On March 31, 1834, it was renamed West Bloomfield and moved to the public house of Mr. Rundel. The office operated until November 23, 1865.
