BusinessesLocal HistoryElbridge G. Deming made the first land entry here in 1823 and settled on his land with his family in 1832. Oxford Corners was founded in 1836 and renamed Oxford in January, 1839. Incorporated as a village in 1876. It was named after its township which had been named by Otis C.
