BusinessesLocal HistorySettlers first purchased land here in 1835 and the settlement became known as the new Baltimore Station. It was organized and given a post office as New Haven on January 6, 1838. Adam A Bennett was one of the organizers. The Grand Trunk Railroad opened a station here in 1865.
