State Parks and Camping in MichiganLocal HistoryThis village was in Ontonagon County when founded by Alfred L. Corry, of Milwaukee, in 1886. It was platted by Edward H. Rummele, of Sheboygan, also from Wisconsin in 1886. A station on the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad. Robert Fair became its first postmaster on June 4, 1886. Named for the wife of E. H.
