Local History

The village of Fairview extended from Bewick to Cadieux Road.  In 1907, the area from Bewick to Alter Road was absorbed by the city of Detroit, while that from Alter to Cadieux was incorporated as the Village of Grosse Pointe Park.  Incorporated as a city in 1950.
