Beaumont Tower

West Circle Drive near MSU Museum

East Lansing, Michigan

(517) 355-1855

Beaumont Tower marks the site of Old College Hall - the first building in American erected for instruction in scientific agriculture.  A gift from John W. Beaumont (class of 1882), the tower was dedicated in 1929 and renovated in 1996, making possible weekly carillon concerts throughout the summer.  Beneath the clock is a crisp Art Deco relief, "The Sower," by sculptor Lee Lawrie.
